Tomorrow The Wukuf Hajj Pilgrims In Arafah: The Economy Presented By Sheikh Youssef Bin Muhammad, Translated To 20 Languages Including Indonesia

JAKARTA - Millions of pilgrims from various countries in the world will crowd Padang Arafah on Tuesday, to attend the peak of the Hajj, namely Wukuf in Arafah.

Saudi Arabian authorities are known to have set the date of 1st Dzulhijjah to fall on June 19, so that on 9 Dzulhijjah or Arafah Day it falls on 27 June.

So the peak of Hajj, Wukuf in Arafah is one of the four Hajj Rukuns and the most important ritual of annual pilgrimage. It will start after the Arafah sermon, with the implementation of the Dzuhur and Ashar prayers in the form of qashar jamak.

Reporting from the Saudi Gazette on June 26, this year's Arafah sermon will be delivered by Sheikh Youssef bin Muhammad bin Saeed. Meanwhile, as a reserve, the imam and khatib of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly.

Syekh Youssef bin Muhammad is a Saudi Islamic scholar as well as a member of the Senior Ulema Council. He became a teacher at the Grand Mosque, Prophet's Mosque and a number of other mosques.

A number of important positions have been held by this scholar, such as the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, professors and a number of academic positions at the Islamic University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud, Chairman of the Cyber Security Committee at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Head of the Al-Qur'an Competition Committee at the ministry, deputy chairman of the Hajj Committee at the ministry, and head of the Al-Qur'an Translation Committee at the King Fahd Al-Qur'an Printing Complex.

Memorizing the Qur'an from an early age, Sheikh Youssef was a student of a number of well-known scholars, such as former Saudi Mufti Besar Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Baz, and Mufti Besar Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Syekh.

Syekh Youssef won undergraduate, master and Ph.D from the College of Fundals of Religion at the Islamic University of Imam Mohammed bin Saud.

Meanwhile, for this year, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque will translate the Arafah sermon into 20 languages.

"For this year's Hajj season, the Arafah sermon will be translated into 20 languages. Previously, the Arafah sermon would be translated into 14 languages," said Vice President General for Language and Translation Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Hmaidi, as quoted by Antara.

The 20 languages are English, French, Urdu, German, Spanish, Indonesian, maritime, Malay, Amharik, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Persian, Tamil, Philippine, Bosnian, Hindi, and Swedish.

He added that the General Presidency hopes that this Arafah sermon translation can reach 300 million pendengamers worldwide through the Al-Haramain Manarat digital platform. The translation uses the latest technology and devices, involving trained translators.
