"Mr. President will provide sacrificial cows in the context of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri in 2023. Last year it was 34 provinces, now it has been added to the newly formed province, so it has become 38," said Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 23.

The cows, according to Heru, were given in accordance with the proposals of each provincial government.

"So there is a suggestion from the governors for the cows to be distributed," added Heru.

Meanwhile, in the distribution process, the Presidential Secretariat will cooperate with various ministries.

"The first is the Presidential Secretariat in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Religion, Director General of the Religious Service to be able to provide the best cows from the President, have his health checked, must be free from mouth and nail disease, and of course the weight is also between 900 kilograms to 1.2 tons," he explained.

The types of cows given by Jokowi are the simental limousine angus, brahman, and the role of ongole from Balinese cattle.

"In Jakarta, the President will give cattle to the Istiqlal Mosque, which is a simultaneous type of fire, weighing 1.2 tons or 1,200 kg, with a male gender," he said.

Regarding the location where Jokowi will perform Eid prayers, Heru said this had not been decided.

"The Eid prayer has not been determined. Just ask the Deputy in the last minutes," he said.

The Ministry of Religion officially set Eid al-Adha 1444 H on Thursday (29/6) after the trial in Jakarta, Sunday (18/6). The decision was taken after considering the results of the hilal position reckoning and the rukyatul hilal report. Of the 99 points in 34 provinces of monitoring the hilal, none of them reported having seen the hilal.

With the stipulation of Eid al-Adha 1444 H on Thursday (29/6), there is a difference with the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP) which stipulates Eid al-Adha 1444 H falls on Wednesday (28/6).
