140 Street Bandit Suspects In Medan Arrested By Police

Medan Police during June 2023 arrested 140 suspects in a street crime case consisting of robbers and 3C (curas, stealing and stealing).

"The 140 suspects are the result of the disclosure of 97 cases, of which 27 are child perpetrators," said Medan Police Chief KombesValentino Alfa Tatareda, Thursday, June 22.

Valentino said that his party would provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators of robbery and street crimes, which have recently been very disturbing to the public.

In order to prevent the recurrence of cases of robbery and other street crimes, the Medan Polrestabes together with the Dandim 0201/BS and the Medan City Forkopimda have formed a patrol team and carried out insulations at several points in the jurisdiction of the Medan Police.

"We also ask for prayers and support from the community so that cases like those experienced by UMSU students who died in the robbery do not happen again in Medan City," he said.

Kapolrestabes said the four perpetrators who robbed UMSU students Insanul Anshori Hasibuan, namely AS, MR, NA, and RF had been arrested and given measured decisive action for fighting officers when arrested.

Insanul was robbed on Wednesday (14/6) at around 03.00 WIB, while with his friend riding a motorcycle to return to his boarding house on Jalan Mustafa.
