BANDUNG - The Class I Immigration Office of TPI Bandung, West Java, deported a foreign national (WNA) from Slovakia who was caught overstaying or exceeding the three-month stay limit in Indonesia.
Head of the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section of the Immigration Office Class I TPIBandung Aditya Nursanto said the Slovak foreigner named Miroslav Holik was 51 years old and took overstay measures for 112 days.
"The actions taken by Miroslav Holik are immigration violations in Indonesia. The person concerned was deported through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," Aditya said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.
Aditya said the foreigner from Europe had been proven to have violated Article 78 paragraph 3 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration because Miroslav had been in Indonesia exceeding the 60-day stay permit limit.
"Foreign people who have expired residence permits and are still in Indonesian territory more than 60 days from the time limit for residence permits are subject to administrative action," he said.
In addition to deportation sanctions, according to him, foreigners are also subject to sanctions in the form of deterrence from returning to Indonesia for the next six months since they were deported.

During the trip from Bandung to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Aditya said, Miroslav was guarded and escorted by two officers from the Bandung Immigration Office to ensure the deportation process without experiencing any problems.
