JAKARTA - The Press Secretary for the Emperor of Japan Kojiro Shiojiri stated that Emperor Naruhito's desire to deepen Indonesia's cultural diversity was realized when he visited Bogor, West Java.

Shiojiri said Naruhito could directly experience the diversity of Indonesian culture and people from a series of events at the Bogor Palace.
Shiojiri also mentioned that Naruhito and the Queen of Masako expressed their great gratitude to President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Widodo for preparing everything with great care and devotion.

Shiojiri also said that Naruhito hopes for a better friendship and exchange of the younger generation between Indonesia and Japan in improving friendly relations between the two countries in the future.
Shiojiri said President Jokowi and Emperor Naruhito held meetings and discussed many things, including Indonesian nature, disasters in both countries, and people rich in diversity.
"There are so many (topics being discussed) that the time is beyond what was planned. The dialogue between the two parties is very active," said Shiojiri.
After meeting with Jokowi at the Bogor Palace, Naruhito will meet Indonesians who contribute to friendly relations between Indonesia and Japan.
