Viral Youth Beaten By Indonesian Navy Personnel Because They Were Not Given A Road At The Kemang Red Light

JAKARTA - A young man named Rifkho Achmad Bawazir is suspected of being the victim of a beating by 5 members of the TNI in the intersection area, Kemang Raya, South Jakarta. The incident was shared by victim Rifkho through his personal Twitter account. He said he was beaten by elements using sharp weapons.

"Izin melaporkan telah terjadi pengeroyokan terhadap diri oleh anggota TNI AL Mako Marines Cilandak berjumlah 5 orang atau lebih menggunakan senjata knuckle dan penyumpi," ujar Rifkho dalam akun Twitter pribadinya, Senin, 19 Juni.

Rifkho said he was beaten because the marine member did not accept not being given the way when he was at the red light. Thus, there was a debate that led to a dispute.

"Then at around 2.30 WIB one of the perpetrators began to provoke to persecute me, which 2 other people followed me in a crowd," he said.

"One of the perpetrators showed me a knife but I fought back and recorded it. After I approached the perpetrator, like in the video, 3 to 4 friends of the perpetrator appeared," he continued.

Meanwhile, Head of the Naval Information Service (Kadispenal) Made Wira said the report had been handled and carried out an in-depth investigation.

"It has been reported to the Indonesian Navy and is currently in the process and deepening at the Lantamal III Pomal regarding the chronology of the incident," he said.
