In Rejang Lebong Bengkulu, Only 1 Puskesmas In Sindang Plateau Does Not Have Doctors

REJANG LEBONG - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, said that one of the 21 health centers spread across the area did not have doctors. Acting (Plt) Head of the Rejang Lebong Health Service, Rephi Meido Satria, said that puskesmas who do not have doctors are in Sindang Pulanjung District. Meanwhile, 20 other health centers already have doctors. "Currently we are still trying to meet doctors at the Sindang Pangkalan Health Center, we have prepared a salary budget of Rp. 5 million per month," he said in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Thursday, June 15. He explained that to meet the shortage of doctors, his party had submitted to the Rejang Lebong Regency Government to be met both honorary and through the Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). He said that there was previously one doctor at the Sindang Pangkalan Health Center who was a regional honorary or THL, but in early 2023 the person concerned passed the CPNS selection in Jambi Province. In order to fill the vacancy of doctors at the Sindang Plain Health Center, his party has opened up opportunities through regional honorariums or THL and has prepared a salary budget and other supporting facilities, but no one is interested. He hopes that later the central government and the local district government can meet the shortage of doctors, either through the Nusantara Sehat program or the acceptance of PPPK in the health sector. In addition to submitting additional doctors, he added, his party has also proposed 351 additional health workers this year.

Previously, in 2022, the Rejang Lebong Health Office received a quota of 77 PPPK in the health sector, but that number was not sufficient for the needs to be placed in 21 health centers spread over 15 sub-districts, in the health office and local hospitals.
