The Boss Of KSP Indosurya Was Sent To The Salemba Detention Center Regarding Money Laundering Funds For Customers

JAKARTA - The boss of the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP), Henry Surya, has officially been convicted in a money laundering case (TPPU) of KSP Indosurya customer funds.

The West Jakarta District Attorney also executed the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) regarding the sentence of 18 years in prison for Henry Surya to the Class I Detention Center of Central Jakarta or the Salemba Detention Center.

"After being picked up at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, the convict was immediately handed over to the Class I Detention Center of Central Jakarta at around 19:00 WIB," said Head of Section (Kasi) Intel of the West Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Lingga Nuarie in his statement, Wednesday, June 14.

He said the execution was carried out on Tuesday, June 13 based on an order from the Head of the West Jakarta District Attorney Number: PRINT-3163/M.1.12.4/Eku.3/6/2023.

Apart from Henry, his party also executed the convict June Indria to the Class IIA Jakarta Women's Prison, Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, at the same time. June was sentenced to 14 years in prison based on the Supreme Court's decision.

The Supreme Court sentenced the boss of KSP Indosurya, Henry Surya, to 18 years in prison at the cassation level. Henry was also required to pay a fine of Rp. 15 billion, a subsidiary of 8 months in prison.

Meanwhile, defendant June Indria was sentenced to 14 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 12 billion, subsidiary to 6 months in prison.

The verdict was knocked on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 by the Chairman of the Suhandi Council with member judges Suharto and Jupriyadi.

Henry Surya and June Indria, who each served as the President Director and Director of the Indosurya KSP Finance, were acquitted by the panel of judges at the West Jakarta District Court (PN).

June was first acquitted by the West Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. The panel of judges consisting of Kamaludin as chairman and two member judges, namely Praditia Dandindra and Flowerry Yulidas, stated that the prosecutor's charges were not proven so as to release him from all lawsuits.

A week later, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, it was Henry's turn to be acquitted by the West Jakarta District Court judges chaired by judges Syafrudin Ainor Rafiek with two member judges, Eko Aryanto and Sri Hartati.
