NAGAN RAYA - Department of Agriculture and Livestock of Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, provides water pump machines for farmer groups to deal with the impact of drought in the East Seunagan District. "Our water pump is borrowed from farmer groups, with the hope that it can help irrigate rice fields which are currently very dry," said Head of the Agriculture and Livestock Service of Nagan Raya Regency, Safridhal, when contacted from Suka Makmue, Antara, Wednesday, June 13. There are three water pump machines that have been borrowed to farmer groups in Keudee Linteung and Agoy Karyan, East Seunagan District, under the supervision of Keujrun Nagan. In addition, there is one water pump that has been donated to farmer groups in Kila Village, East Seunagan District. Safridhal said that according to temporary data, the rice field land in East Seunagan District, which covers an area of about 700 hectares, dried up due to the river water discharge in Cot Gud which flows into the rice fields.
"Indeed, there will be an impact on rice production this year, but we hope that the number will not be large," said Safridhal.
