Central Jakarta City Government Proposes Dismissal Of RT Bungur Chair Involved In Drug Trafficking

JAKARTA - Central Jakarta City Government Assistant (Aspem), Denny Ramdany asked the Bungur Village Head to immediately fire the head of RT 15 Bungur who was involved in drugs.

"If indeed the head of the RT is involved in drugs, as reported by him, he is circulating methamphetamine, the village head must take firm action. Dismissal can be carried out in accordance with the regulation of Governor Regulation (Pergub) 22 of 2022 if indeed the head of the RT is proven," said Denny Ramdany when confirmed, Monday, June 12.

Denny said that in the process of dismissing the head of the RT, there must be evidence and a certificate from the police. If all of that exists, the village head can replace the head of RT 15 who stumbled on the crime.

"There must be a written statement from the police and then the village head can take action," he said.

Denny added that all village heads and sub-district heads from Central Jakarta conducted socialization of all RTs and RWs related to the rules contained in the 22nd governor's regulation in 2022. In the governor's regulation there are rules, requirements to become the head of the RT and RW.

"I ask all village heads and sub-district heads throughout Central Jakarta to re-socialize so that no RT and RW are involved in violations," he said.

Previously, EM, a RT head in Bungur Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, was arrested by the Johar Baru Police Narcotics Unit for being involved in narcotics trafficking.

When arrested, suspect EM was with two of his friends with the initials AS and IS. They were arrested on Jalan Kalibaru Timur Raya, Senen District, Central Jakarta.

"We have secured the head of RT in RW 06, Bungur Village for distributing methamphetamine with the initials EM," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Sunday, June 11.

Kombes Komarudin said the arrest began with a report from the public. The perpetrator with the initials EM was arrested with evidence of 11 packages of small clips containing white crystals suspected of being methamphetamine.
