Bawaslu Karawang Finds Doubles 7 Data Will Be A Pilkada 2024 Candidate

KARAWANG - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Karawang Regency, West Java, found double data on seven candidates for legislative candidates (caleg) in the 2024 general election (Pemilu).

"We found seven names registered as candidates for double, both internal and external," said Coordinator of the Legal and Settlement Division of the Karawang Bawaslu Dispute, Engkus Kusnadi, quoted from Antara, Saturday, June 11.

He explained that the internal double data is that the candidates will be registered from the same party, but will be included in two different electoral districts (dapil). While externally is that the candidates will be registered from different parties.

"From the double data of the seven names of candidates who were found, there were three people registered with external doubles," he said.

The three candidate candidates external double data, on behalf of Irawati Garwan, Fikri Ramadhan and Wawan.

The name Irawati Garwan is listed as a candidate for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) from the electoral district (dapil) of three DPRDs in Karawang Regency, and is also registered with the Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN) for the electoral district of one DPRD Karawang.

Furthermore, Fikri Ramadhan was registered as a candidate for PSI for the electoral district of the four Karawang DPRD and was also registered with the Garuda Party for the fifth electoral district of the Karawang DPRD.

Then, Wawan was registered as a candidate for the West Java Provincial DPRD from PKN and also registered as a candidate for the Karawang DPRD from the Crescent Star Party (PBB).

Meanwhile, there are four candidates who are registered as doubles internally, namely Ilah Susilawati, Sari Sartika Dewi, Sugianto, and Wa Ode Dewi Sartika.

Kusnadi conveyed, in accordance with the findings of the Karawang Bawaslu that Ilah Susilawati was registered as a candidate for the West Java DPRD and a candidate for the Karawang DPRD from the Hanura Party.

Then, Sari Sartika Dewi is registered as a candidate for the three electoral district and the four electoral districts of the Karawang DPRD from the Labor Party.

Furthermore, Sugianto was registered as a candidate for the second and third electoral district of the Karawang DPRD from the Labor Party, and Wa Ode Dewi Sartika was registered as a candidate for two and the fifth electoral district of the Karawang DPRD from the Labor Party.

Based on the findings of the balaleg double data, said Kusnadi, Bawaslu Karawang asked the local general election commission (KPU) to carry out maximum verification.

In accordance with the provisions, according to him, one of the internal double candidates must be crossed out, with a note that they must replace the candidate candidates in the crossed electoral district.

"So there must be clarification between the party and the person concerned," he said.
