Kemendikbudristek Ensures Students Affected By PTS Closing Are Facilitated To Move Campus

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) provides rights and facilities for students, lecturers, and educators. those affected by the revocation of operational permits for a number of problematic Private Universities (PTS).

"Based on regulations, the fulfillment of student rights to move is the responsibility of the university administrators whose permits are revoked but the government still protects them," said Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture Nizam as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.

On the other hand, in this case, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture continues to protect, advocate, and facilitate students who are affected to move and get their rights.

Nizam said the affected students could contact the local LLDikti so that the credit transfer process would be assisted.

Students can also go directly to a healthy PTS to move with the value and the obtained SKS can be transferred to a new PTS during the process of obtaining the SKS through learning according to standards.

"For KIP-K recipient students, LLDikti also helps ensure that students who move do not lose their rights," said Nizam.

For lecturers and educators who have a good track record, he continued, they will be transferred to a healthy university. Meanwhile, those who are proven to have participated in the violation will be given sanctions and blacklisted.

Regarding the misappropriation of facilities and infrastructure, it will be submitted to legal provisions, including other criminal indications, so that the imposition of administrative sanctions does not delay and does not eliminate criminal sanctions.

"Criminal indications will be processed by the Inspectorate General and the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Education and Culture to then be handed over to the police and the prosecutor's office," he said.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Culture revoked the operational permits of a number of PTS who committed serious violations, such as not meeting the provisions of higher education standards, carrying out fictitious learning, and practicing buying and selling diplomas.

In addition, this serious violation also includes irregularities in the provision of scholarships for the Indonesia Smart Lecture Card (KIP-K) as well as disputes between the organizers which result in the learning process not being conducive.
