JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani reminded all legislative candidates from the central, provincial and district/city levels not to present unrealistic political promises in the 2024 General Election.

According to him, Gerindra candidates must campaign with realistic promises to keep because the people will be very disappointed if later after being elected, the candidate concerned will not keep his promise.
"Don't make promises, then keep debt. Don't do that because it's very dangerous and it will cause people to be antipathy to political parties. Gerindra candidates can speak and promise any programs but they must be realistic," said Muzani.
He assessed that the promises that were not kept would reduce public trust in political parties.
On the other hand, Muzani explained that the implementation of the 2024 General Election, which is less than eight months, must be able to understand the needs of the people. This is in line with the purpose of establishing the Gerindra Party as a tool for conveying the people's tongue.

"How is the settlement? Yes, politics between the executive and the legislature, between the DPR and the president, sit together to discuss solving the fertilizer problem. If the president and his DPR side with the farmers, the problem will be resolved," added Muzani.
