TASIKMALAYA - Tasikmalaya City Police arrested an uncle who was reported to have committed immoral acts against his nephew, a junior high school student since two years ago. "We have secured the alleged perpetrator after receiving a report from the victim's parents," said Head of the Tasikmalaya City Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Agung Tri Poerbowo through a press release in Tasikmalaya, Antara, Friday, June 2. He said the police received a report from Pageurageung residents that there was a underage woman who was the victim of immoral acts by her own uncle, the initials NR (47). The actions committed by the suspect, said Agung, were based on the confession from the victim's family that had occurred since the age of the victim was 11 years old or two years ago. "The alleged sexual abuse by the perpetrator has been carried out for about two years, the victim is now 13 years old," he said. With the report, said Agung, his staff immediately carried out an investigation until they finally arrested the victim's uncle who was a suspect. The police then took him to the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters to conduct a legal examination of the suspect by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA). "The PPA Unit of the Tasikmalaya City Police Satreskrim continues to carry out further investigations, and the perpetrators have now been secured at the Tasikmalaya City Police Detention Center," he said. The inappropriate act of an uncle to his brother was successfully revealed by the victim's parents at the perpetrator's house, last Wednesday, May. Furthermore, the victim's parents reported the incident that happened to their child to the police until the police took quick action and arrested the suspect. The suspect in the initial examination admitted that he had molested a underage woman while the victim was playing Tiktok social media, then being teased and forced the victim to do inappropriate things. As a result of his actions, the suspect is currently languishing in the Tasikmalaya City Police Detention Center and is charged with Article 76 e in conjunction with Article 82 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
