Electability Increases, Gerindra Focuses On Winning Victory In The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani hopes that the results of the survey related to the increase in the electability of the Gerindra Party will be a reference for his party to boost political work in order to win in the 2024 General Election.

"We hope that the results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey today can be used as a reference and encouragement in the political work of all Gerindra structures and cadres throughout Indonesia because the final result determining the victory of a political party is in the election," said Muzani, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23.

He said that the results of the Kompas Research and Development Survey showed that what the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and Gerindra Party cadres had been doing was on the right track.

However, Muzani reminded that the survey is a portrait or an overview of the state of political choice when the survey was conducted so that the results of the current survey do not necessarily describe the results of the election which will only be held on February 14, 2024.

For this reason, he hopes that all Gerindra Party cadres will continue to use the interests of the people as the goal of the struggle.

"And in acting, don't go far from the people, let alone leave or betray the people. And that's what we will continue to hold in the fight," he said.

Because, he continued, Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto, who is also the chairman of the Gerindra Party's Board of Trustees, always reminded that the party bearing the Garuda bird's head symbol was big because of the support and trust of the people.

"Gerindra must become a political party that continues to fight for the aspirations of traders, farmers, MSMEs, workers, honorary staff, motorcycle taxi drivers, fishermen, and the people in general," said the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR.

He hopes that as long as his party cadres fight for these things, the Gerindra Party's struggle will still gain the people's trust.

"Because the success of a political party lies in the success of fighting for what the people want in upholding truth, justice and prosperity," he explained.

Muzani reminded Gerindra Party cadres to always keep their words in the middle of the current political year.

"Say the truth. If you can't, it's better to be silent because from that saying sometimes someone can slip because they can't keep their words true or good," he said.

Likewise, he added, the attitude of Gerindra cadres in doing and hanging out must be smart in sorting and choosing good ones.

"Including, in acting, Gerindra cadres always try to be good and honest people, put the interests of the people and the state above all else," he added.

Muzani added that efforts and the spirit of struggle to do good for the people and the country must not be extinguished, even though trials and challenges always exist.

"That what has been outlined by the general chairman has been correct and received a positive response from the people. But we should not be complacent, not arrogant, let alone arrogant because the survey has not yet described the actual election results," said Muzani.

The results of the latest Kompas Research and Development survey on April 29,-10 May 2023 show that the electability of the Gerindra Party has increased significantly to 18.6 percent from the previous 14.3 percent in January 2023.

From the results of the survey, the electability of the Gerindra Party ranks second with a percentage of 18.6 percent. Meanwhile, in first place in the PDI-P with the highest electability reached 23.3 percent.
