1,139 Honorary Teachers At OKU South Sumatra Will Be Appointed As PPPK

A total of 1,139 honorary teachers in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra are prioritized to be appointed as government employees with work agreements (PPPK) within the local government. Head of the OKU Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Mirdaili said the OKU Regency Government has submitted a formation proposal to Menpan RB, which is mostly non-ASN staff. "For teachers there are 1,139 people who are proposed to be prioritized to be appointed as PPPK and health workers 851 people and 149 for technical personnel," he said, Friday, May 19. He said the proposed formation had been submitted to Menpan RB since March 30, 2023 in the hope that it could be approved according to the needs of OKU Regency Government employees. OKU Regency Government continues to communicate with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology to support honorary staff in the region so that it becomes a priority to be appointed as PPPK teachers this year. "It is agreed or not, we are still waiting for instructions from the central government. What is clear is that this proposed quota has been verified as needed," he said. He stated that he has not been able to confirm whether this non-ASN employee will not go through the stage of testing and filing again to be appointed PPPK, including related to placement in the original school for teachers.

"What is certain is to wait for information from the central government. We will also fly to Jakarta in time to ask about this," he said. He appealed to honorary staff not to be easily consumed by issues related to the appointment of PPPK such as individuals who promise graduation by giving some money. "Don't believe it easily because the appointment of PPPK is free and there is no cost at all. If there is information or what you want to ask, please go directly to the OKU BKPSDM," he said.
