PA 212 Rejects Coldplay Concert, The Reason Is About LGBT

JAKARTA - The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) rejected the Coldplay concert which was planned to be held in Jakarta. The reason is that the band from England is considered to support LGBT.

"Obviously we from PA 212 reject Coldplay's concert which supports the LGBT," said Deputy Secretary General of PA 212, Novel Bamukmin when confirmed, Monday, May 15.

In addition, LGBT is also very contrary to the values of Pancasila. So, if the Coldplay concert is still held, it is feared that it could cause turmoil in the community.

"In addition to Indonesia, it is a country with the largest population of Muslims in the world, as well as LGBT, which is very contrary to the value of the Pancasila value," he said.

On the other hand, Novel also appealed to the promoter to cancel the concert. In fact, it seems as if giving an ultimatum will take action if the Coldplay band continues to perform in Jakarta.

"I urge the committee to immediately refrain from bringing in Coldplay because there are still many music groups that do not flow to support LGNT and Athitis," he said.

"If we are still reckless, then we will hold a big action by blocking the location or we will be surrounded by the airport," Novel continued.

Previously, the government through the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno supported the Coldplay concert.

"In the next few days, it will be very decisive. Please support from all parties," said Sandiaga.

"(Then) the government itself is very positive for the possibility that this concert will be held here. In the end of the year. But certainty from the next few days will be seen. The brighter it will be," he continued.

Nevertheless, Sandiaga asked the public not to draw conclusions regarding the determination of the British band's concert in Indonesia.

"Please support from all parties, please be patient, don't let us draw some conclusions," he said

For information, Coldplay concert is planned to be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) Jakarta, on November 15, next.
