Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan revealed that 20 percent or 340 kilometers of roads in his area were damaged.
"We classify the 20 percent of the damage scale again, some are heavily damaged and lightly damaged," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 11.
IWAN said the damaged roads were immediately repaired, starting with a coordination meeting with the Bogor Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (DPUPR).
"The point is that last night's meeting we responded to the problem of roads and bridges. I also specifically summoned the Head of Roads and Bridges and the Head of PUPR Maintenance and the ranks because the technicality was there," he said.
Iwan said the Bogor Regency Government was also still updating damaged road data in the Bogor Regency area while making improvements.
The Bogor Regency Government has budgeted IDR 330 billion for improving road quality in its area through the APBD for the 2023 fiscal year. According to him, the budget does not include road maintenance for the lightly damaged category.
"With that budget, our assumption is that there are about 80 kilometers of roads that will be increased this year along with 17 bridges, spread over 40 sub-districts. For those that are lightly damaged, there is also maintenance," said Iwan.
