Heavy Traffic Pontenance, Police Urge The Public To Adjust The Activity Hours Of Route 2 Towards Wednesday Tomorrow

BOGOR - Bogor City Police, appealed to the public to adjust the hours and routes when doing activities in the two-way implementation in the city center due to the revitalization of the Otista Bridge in a crowded time starting Wednesday, May 10 morning.

Head of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Galih Apria, said that the working community, students, traders need to pay attention to routes and anticipate the busy time of the two-way implementation which will be implemented in the former one-way system route (SSA).

The two-way implementation in the former SSA will begin on Monday night and continued Galih, with the two-way implementation in the city center moving the potential for traffic congestion which is subject to traffic engineering due to the revitalization of the Otista Bridge at Simpang Sukasari, the exit of the Bogor Toll Road and Simpang Jambu Dua, the exit of the BORN Toll Road to be spread over several points.

The construction time for the Otista Bridge will last for approximately 7.5 months starting May 1-8 December 2023.

The Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, said Galih, will place "officers asking routes" at every intersection point so that people who are still confused about the direction to reach their destination at the beginning of the implementation of the two city centers get instructions.

Galih appealed, people should anticipate heavy hours of traffic flow, including 06.00-08.00 WIB and 16.00-18.00 WIB which is widely used to go and go home from school and work.

"Starting tomorrow morning, the density (vehicle traffic) will be in (ex) around this SSA. We urge the public, especially Bogor residents, to arrange the time, choose the best route, so they avoid congestion (traffic) tomorrow," he appealed.

The Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Bogor City, West Java agreed to impose two directions at several one-way points (SSA) in the city center during the revitalization of the Otista Bridge to make it easier for the public to access central locations for economic activities starting Tuesday (9/5) at 21.00 WIB.

Starting tonight, the new route after the facilities and infrastructure are installed, first, is that the traffic flow on Jalan Pajajaran towards Tugu Kujang can turn left to Jalan Jalak Harupat or the direction of Sempur Field so that it can turn to Bogor Station, BTM Mall to Suryakencana without having to turn to Simpang Jambu Dua.

On the other hand, second, from the direction of Suryakencana, you can continue to go to the Bogor City Hall to the Sempur direction to Jalan Pajajara, with a note that you can first rotate at the Fountain, you cannot turn at the Denpom III/1 intersection.

Third, from the direction of Sukasari, it is still the same as the initial engineering, the vehicle from the direction of Jalan Siliwangi at one direction to Jalan Suryakencana and the vehicle towards Batutulis remained squeezed in Gang Aut turning to Lawang Saketeng to get out at the turn of BTM.

However, now you can turn to Jalan Otista towards Suryakencana and Pasar Bogor on Jalan Roda and return to Sukasari or Batutuli.
