To Enforce E-Tilang, Komjen Listyo Sigit: Traffic Police Focuses On Regulating Traffic

JAKARTA - Candidate for Chief of Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo, will put forward an electronic-based law enforcement mechanism, especially in prosecuting traffic violations.

"Gradually (the National Police, red) will put forward an electoronic-based law enforcement mechanism or so-called e-TLE," said Listyo Sigit in a fit and proper test held with Commission III of the DPR, Wednesday, January 20.

There is also a change in this mechanism to reduce the practice of irregularities during the prosecution of ticketing by members in the field.

Because, with electronic-based tickets, traffic rules violators will be sent a letter from the police and are required to follow the existing procedures.

"So in the future, I hope traffic members will go to the field and then regulate traffic jams, no need to do a ticket," he said.

"We hope this will become an icon for the change in the behavior of the Police, especially in the front line service sector, namely our members in traffic," he concluded.

In the fit and proper test for the police chief candidate, Komjen Listyo Sigit also explained the precise transformation of the Police.

"I will carry out the transformation of the Police by transforming into a predictive, responsible, transparent and fair Polri which we introduce with the concept of a precise Polri. This concept will color the Police in the future," said Listyo Sigit.

Precise Polri leadership, continued Listyo, will emphasize the importance of the ability of the predictive policing approach. Later, this approach will be accompanied by fair responsibility and transparency, which are expected to solve various problems.

In addition, approaches will also be applied in taking action steps that are tactical and technical in the field. "So that future police actions will be more precise and able to solve the problem completely," he said.

Meanwhile, responsibility, said Listyo, can be interpreted as responsibility that can be realized through words, attitudes, behaviors, and responsiveness in carrying out tasks.
