Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) West Java Andika Dwi Prasetya ensured that there were no luxury facilities at the Kebonwaru Detention Center (Rutan) Bandung as circulated on social media. Andika said that his party had checked directly into rooms or cells suspected of having luxury facilities, namely Block B Number 20. "If there is information that there are facilities that are not in accordance with the provisions, we will make sure that in the future we will not have any fighting," said Andika at the Kebonwaru Detention Center in Bandung, West Java, quoted from Antara, Monday, May 8. He added that the facilities in the cells are currently ordinary facilities, ranging from mattresses, bathrooms, mattresses, to television. Each cell, he added, can be filled with 17 to 19 correctional inmates (WBP). Television facilities are also provided in each cell, because based on regulations, WBP also has the right to receive information. "There is no luxury ROOM, right when the lights go out, there is no electricity, but the water continues to flow," he explained. He said that currently the Kebonwaru Detention Center is filled with more than 1,800 inmates. He said ideally each room was only filled by seven inmates. "In fact, the seven-person capacity room is filled with 17 to 19 people, but it can still be used with control," he said. Andika also apologized to the public if there were still things that were not in accordance with the provisions in the detention center or prison. He also guaranteed that his party would continue to improve so that there would be no violations. "We are both fixing things that are still damaged. Reprimand us, we are ready to enforce the rules. Anyone who sees directly in personal interests regarding financial transactions will receive severe sanctions according to the provisions," he said.
