Lawyers For Victims Complain To DPR, National Police Chief Asked To Follow Up Allegations Of Extortion Behind Richard Mille's Case

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was asked to immediately follow up on the alleged extortion case involving members of the police behind the fraud of Richard Mille's watch.

In this case, Tony Sutrisno was named a victim. He through his attorney, Heroe Waskito, has also complained about the alleged extortion to Commission III of the DPR RI.

"The case that happened to Tony is serious, if people can struggle to find justice, how about small people? What else is the main perpetrator suspected of being a police officer," Heroe told reporters, Monday, May 8.

According to him, the National Police Chief must enforce the law that is the protector of every citizen. Moreover, the Police have a fair law enforcement obligation.

"The police are law enforcers, and the law protects every citizen. Therefore, I strongly condemn if there are police officers misappropriating the law and playing with people who are subject to problems," he said.

Tony Sutrisno had complained about the fraud and extortion of Richard Mille's watch case that happened to him. The extortion was carried out by members on duty to take care of the case at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

One of the perpetrators of extortion who is currently undergoing demotion is Kombes Rizal Irawan, AKBP Aria Wibawa, and Kompol Teguh.

As previously reported, a member of the House of Representatives Commission III from the Democratic Faction, Hinca Panjaitan, confirmed that National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo would follow up on the Richard Mille case that Tony Sutrisno complained about. Hinca admitted that she had submitted the case to the National Police Chief during a working meeting at the DPR on April 13.

"Yesterday, I told you about the program and budget, but when it breaks, I will follow up," said Hinca.
