JAKARTA - Government officials in Bali Province found that several entertainment venues violated their operating time limits during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM).

Reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 20, Head of the Section for Security and Escort of the Bali Provincial Civil Service Police Unit Made Yudi Purnamadi as the coordinator of the joint PPKM rule enforcement team said officers found entertainment venues that were operating past the deadline at 21.00 WITA during a surprise inspection on Monday January 18th evening.

The team, which included six groups, conducted an inspection starting from the area around the Bali Governor's Office at 20.30 WITA and then combed the Sanur area, Denpasar City, Kuta-Seminyak area, Kerobokan, Canggu in Badung, to the IB Mantra-Ketewel road in Gianyar Regency.

During the inspection, according to Yudi, the officers found violations of operational time limits at nightclubs in the Sanur area, Denpasar City, as well as food stalls in Suwung, South Denpasar.

Government officials then recorded the managers and visitors of entertainment venues and stalls who violated the operating time limit during the PPKM.

Yudi said that the officers also found a group of young people huddled in the shop until late at night during the inspection. The officers then dispersed the crowd and closed the stall, and carried out random COVID-19 checks.

Yudi emphasized the importance of the community and business actors obeying government regulations during PPKM so that the transmission of the corona virus can be controlled.

"The public, business actors, places and public facilities that carry out activities, are obliged to continue implementing the established health protocols, in addition to complying with curfew restrictions," he said.

"Health protocols must be adhered to by still wearing masks properly, washing hands with soap in running water or with a hand sanitizer, limiting physical interactions, and always maintaining distance, not crowding and limiting activities in public places," he added.

As of Tuesday, January 19, the accumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Bali Province has reached 21,929 people. In the last ten days, the increase in daily corona virus infection cases in Bali has averaged over 200 cases.
