Family Of Shooting Victims At KM 45 Merak-Tangerang Toll Road Submit 6 Applications To LPSK

The families of the victims of the shooting case at KM 45 rest area of the Merak-Tangerang toll road submitted 6 requests to LPSK (Witness and Victim Protection Agency).

"There were six applications submitted to LPSK," said Deputy Chairperson of LPSK, Susilaningtyas, Thursday, January 9, 2025.

In addition to requests for legal assistance related to the law enforcement process, the victim's family also proposed a request for restitution.

"Restitution request, maybe we will decide," he said.

Susilaningtyas said that his party needed 30 working days to decide regarding the application.

"In general, we decide within 30 working days and can be extended or accelerated according to needs," he said.

For example, he continued, in this context there was one of the injured victims.

"It is possible that if this victim needs medical medical treatment, we can provide it in an emergency or sooner before it is needed, if it really needs treatment that must be done immediately," he said.

Susilaningtyas hopes that the process of examining the application can be decided soon.

"This is just a request for protection. We hope that as soon as possible after the review, we can decide as soon as possible," he said.

Previously, the family of Ilyas Abdurrahman, a shooting victim on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, through their lawyer, Willy Cahyadi, said that they had applied for protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).

"It has been submitted and has been visited by the LPSK team. And from the family, Mas Agam (the victim's child) has been visited by LPSK," he said.
