JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) accompanied by a cultural carnival arrived at the General Elections Commission (KPU) office, Jakarta, to register candidates for DPR members in the 2024 General Election.
Based on ANTARA's monitoring, PKS arrived at the KPU office at around 10:00 WIB with a cultural carnival accompaniment led directly by PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu accompanied by PKS General Treasurer Mahfudz Abdurrahman and PKS Secretary General Habib Aboe Bakar Al Habsy.
Before entering the KPU office, Ahmad Syaikhu in his remarks in front of the white and black dominated building expressed his hope that the registration of the prospective DPR candidate would be a spirit for PKS to welcome the 2024 General Election.
"Today, thank God, on the 8th of PKS number 8, we registered as candidates for DPR members, becoming the first participants in the 2024 election contestation. Hopefully this will be an encouragement for PKS to welcome democracy in 2024," he said, Monday, May 8.
In the future, Syaikhu hopes that PKS will continue to work hard to make it easier for PKS to face the 2024 General Election.
Apart from the leaders and a number of PKS ranks, it was also seen that several people from youth, farmers, laborers, and the Ojekonline community took PKS to the Indonesian KPU Office to register their candidate members of the DPR. They walked from Taman Suropati to the KPU RI office while carrying the PKS flag and being enlivened by the performance of the band.

Previously, in a written statement, the Chairperson of the PKS DPP for Public Relations Ahmad Mabruri said that a cultural carnival was chosen by PKS to accompany their arrival to the Indonesian KPU in registering candidates for DPR members to ensure that the 2024 General Election runs with an atmosphere of joy that includes the community.
He hopes that the 2024 General Election will not be damaged by the sense of bringing down each other, the rise of fake news, and the unfavorable atmosphere.
"God willing, PKS is ready with the people to oversee the implementation of honest, fair, and transparent elections as well as fun," he said.
In addition to registering candidates for members of the DPR to the KPU, Mabruri said that all PKS structures throughout Indonesia also registered candidates for provincial and city/district-level DPRD members in the provincial and district/city KPU respectively.
