Survey Of Indicators: Ganjar Is Considered The Most Able To Continue Jokowi's Work

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Political Indicators survey institute released the results of a survey of who is the most worthy person to continue the work of President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi.

From the survey results, the PDIP presidential candidate and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo are considered the most capable figures to continue the work of the Jokowi government.

This survey was conducted on 11-17 April 2023 against 1,220 respondents by means of face-to-face interviews by trained interviewers. This means that this survey was conducted before Ganjar was appointed as a presidential candidate by the PDI-P.

"We ask, according to mother and father, among the following names who is most capable of continuing Jokowi's work," said Burhanuddin Muhtadi in a virtual survey release, Sunday, April 30.

Meanwhile, the second and third positions are occupied by the chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, and the presidential candidate for the Anies Baswedan Amendment Coalition with 30.4 percent and 21.5 percent.

Then occupied by SOE Minister Erick Thohir by 1.8 percent, Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto by 1.7 percent, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, and PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar by 0.3 percent.

Meanwhile, the percentage of respondents who did not choose one of the seven names was 9.7 percent.

The method used in this survey is multistage random sampling with a margin of error of +/- 2.9% and a 95% confidence level.

This survey was conducted before PDIP declared Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate for 2024 from PDIP. On April 21, 2023, PDIP officially declared Ganjar as a presidential candidate.

On the same occasion, Indonesian Political Indicators also released the results of the 2024 presidential candidate electability survey with a simulation of three names.

From the survey results, the PDIP presidential candidate and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo will occupy the highest position with electability of 34 percent.

Meanwhile, the second and third positions are occupied by the Head of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, and the candidate for the Coalition for Change, Anies Baswedan, with 31.7 percent and 25.2 percent, respectively.
