Central Jakarta Metro Police have conducted a crime scene investigation related to the deaths of table tennis athletes named David Jacobs.
From the results of the crime scene, the police suspected that David Jacobs took the wrong train before finally being found unconscious on the edge of the elevated train tracks until he died.
The crime scene was carried out in detail starting from a search on foot from Juanda Station to the scene of the incident which was 500 meters away.
Furthermore, the police also processed the crime scene at Gambir Station. Officers checked a number of CCTV footage that recorded the whereabouts of David Jacobs.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said, based on some evidence collected from CCTV cameras, it is possible that the victim took the wrong train.
"If we look at Gambir Station to the TKP, it is quite more than 500 meters. If it is taken within 2 minutes on foot, it is impossible. Then there is new evidence again, there is CCTV on the tracks where the wesel rail is moved, there is CCTV, it does not appear at all that anyone is walking. It is concluded that the deceased arrived at the last crime scene, the last position was by train," said Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Sunday, April 30.
The Central Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating whether the victim was purely jumping or falling from the train he was traveling in.
The police are also still waiting for the autopsy results of the RSCM forensic team of doctors.
"We are still investigating why the person concerned fell, including the wounds that have his body, that's what we are investigating. While waiting for the results of the autopsy or post-mortem carried out by the medical team at the RSCM," he said.
The police also still need facts or information from a forensic doctor to determine the cause of the wound on the victim's body.
"To this day, we have asked for information, starting from the first one at the TKP, officers who took the victim to the hospital, including officers at the gambir station, there are several others that we will ask for information, examinations, including train SOPs," he said.
According to information compiled by the police, if the additional train heading north should be empty, there should be no passengers at all.
"We will check the SOP for examination, including whether the door must be closed or not, we will develop it later," he said.
