After Kim Jong-un Appears With Swiss Watch, Kim Ju-ae's Daughter Wears Dior Jacket For IDR 28 Million

JAKARTA - Kim Ju-ae, daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jung-un, was recently seen wearing a luxury jacket in a photo released by Pyongyang in early March.

The photo illustrates how far the lifestyle and appearance of the dictator and his family are, compared to people who are reportedly suffering from widespread poverty and hunger.

Ju-ae, a small girl believed to be 10 years old, is seen wearing a Dior Kid's Hooded Down Jacket in a photo from March 16 released by North Korea's Korean Central Television the next day. The photo shows her father and daughter watching a screen showing the launch of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) together, reported by the Korea Times April 15.

The jacket, according to local media, was confirmed by Dior's seam pattern. The double cross pattern mixes with the letter "X" which shows the rectangles and sides of the ketupat fits the brand. The brand's website shows the jacket is priced at 1,900 US dollars (Rp28,378,400).

Earlier, the former North Korean Ambassador to Kuwait who defected Ryu Hyon-woo said North Korean diplomats considered the purchase of luxury branded goods for Kim's family to be a top priority.
