BENGKULU - North Bengkulu Police Chief said the suspect KM (32) who committed sexual deviation sodomy was threatened with 15 years in prison. This is because the suspect violated Article 82 junto 76 E of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning child protection and or Article 292 of the Criminal Code with a prison sentence of 15 years. "The suspect is currently facing a 15-year prison sentence for violating the child protection law," said North Bengkulu Police Chief AKBP Andy Pramudya Wardana when confirmed, Antara, Monday, April 17. Until now, the number of victims of sodomy from KM teachers has increased by six people with a total of 25 victims. This number can still increase, because his party is still undergoing examination. For the victims of the suspects, the average minor is a fourth to sixth grade (SD) student. Based on the results of the examination, the suspect carried out the action by promising the value of the victim's school to be good by fulfilling the suspect's wishes. "Until now, five witnesses have been examined and will continue to grow because the number of victims is likely to continue to grow," he said. Previously, the North Bengkulu Police arrested an honorary teacher at one of the Elementary Schools (SD) in the area, namely KM (32) who had sexually abused his students since 2019 with 19 students and according to the perpetrator's confession, he had committed 32 attacks on the victims. However, his party is currently still investigating the case because there may be other victims, because the suspect has been carrying out the action since 2019.

Andy said that based on the suspect's confession, the action was carried out on the sidelines of school time, including when extracurricular activities took place at schools. Like in one of the classrooms, school toilets are even in mosques not far from the school where the perpetrators teach.
