Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Plans To Pray Tarawih In Congregation At The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque Banda Aceh

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin left for Aceh province to make a two-day cooperation visit, including to perform tarawih prayers at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh.

Using the Presidential Special aircraft Boeing 737-400 TNI AU, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin and a limited entourage departed from Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base Jakarta to Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Banda Aceh on Wednesday at around 15.25 WIB.

The vice president and his entourage are scheduled to arrive in Aceh at 18.10 WIB and are welcomed by the Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki and Mrs. Ayu Chandra Achmad Marzuki as well as members of the Aceh Province Regional Leadership Coordination Forum along with their respective companions.

Furthermore, Vice President Ma'ruf and Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin will perform the Isha Prayer and Tarawih Prayer in congregation at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh.

In the mosque which characterizes the city with the nickname Serambi of Mecca, the Vice President will also provide tausiyah and greet the people of Aceh who participate in congregational prayer activities.

The next day the Vice President will attend the launch of the book "KH Ma'ruf Amin: Father of Indonesian Sharia Economy" at the State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry, Jalan Sheikh Abdul Rauf, Darussalam, Banda Aceh.

In addition to launching the book, the Vice President will also give a public lecture and witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between UIN Ar-Raniry and the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) related to Sharia Economic and Financial Development in the context of the Implementation of Higher Education Tri Dharma Activities.

The vice president and his entourage are scheduled to return to Jakarta on the same day at 12.30 WIB.

Also accompanying the Vice President and Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma'ruf Amin in this working visit included Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki, Head of the Secretariat of Vice President Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Economic Policy Support and Competitiveness Improvement Guntur Iman Nefianto, Deputy for Administration Sapto Harjono Wahjoe Sedjati, and Special Staff of Vice President Masduki Baidlowi, Masykuri Abdillah, Robikin Emhas, and Zumrotul Mukafa, as well as Expert Team of Vice President Farhat Brachma.
