Kapolda Forecasts 1.1 Million Vehicles Enter Central Java During The 2023 Eid Homecoming Moment

Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ahmad Luthfi said his party had predicted 1,135,000 vehicles or 4,170,000 people would enter Central Java at the moment of Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming.

"The estimate is because there is no COVID-19, then this year's Eid is not crucial in handling COVID-19 so people go home," he said in Magelang, Central Java, Monday, March 27, which was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed this after reviewing the location of the explosion of fireworks in Junjungan Hamlet, Giriwarno Village, Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regency.

Ahmad Luthfi said Central Java had prepared 247 pospams, posyans, and integrated posts, both on toll roads, northern routes, middle lanes, southern routes, and south-south routes or Daendels.

"The central Java region is in Kaliknggung, so later there will be a technical one way, contraflow and so on we will prepare it," he said.

He conveyed that the Daendels route was good, just for street lighting, his party would coordinate with the muspida or the Public Works Service.

"If the lighting is not yet available, you will use a flash of official vehicles installed on the route so that people are comfortable, there are no collisions because it is dark," he said.

He said that in Central Java there are 32 rest areas, meaning that Central Java is a point of fatigue, so the rest area becomes a concentration during the flow of homecoming.

"We will discuss this later with Jasa Marga, Bina Marga, the owner of the rest area. Do not let the priority of the toll road become an obstacle," he said.
