CIKARANG - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, sealed the night entertainment venue Kartika Karaoke and Club in the MM2100 Industrial Estate, West Cikarang District, Tuesday evening for violating health protocols during the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM).

The temporary closure of the THM Kartika operation was directly led by Bekasi Regent Eka Supria Atmaja together with the Police Chief, Dandim, and the Bekasi Regency COVID-19 Task Force Team.

"Based on the reports received, this entertainment place is suspected of having committed a violation or not heeding instructions or circular letters that have been issued regarding the imposition of restrictions on community activities in efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 in Bekasi Regency," said Eka Supria as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 12. .

He ensured that similar sealing activities would also be carried out in all other entertainment venues that were proven to have violated the stipulated provisions.

"Not only this one place that is sealed off, but all other entertainment venues in our region that violate the regulations that have been issued, we from the task force will take firm action," he said.

Eka agrees that the economy in Bekasi Regency must continue to run, it's just that he asks all related elements to comply with health protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

"The wheels of the economy must continue to run, but by adhering to health protocols, moreover this concerns the health and safety of citizens," he said.

The regent also asked the public to apply a more stringent 4M health protocol, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap, maintaining a minimum distance of one meter, and avoiding crowds.

"We do not hesitate to take firm action against business managers who do not heed the provisions of the health protocol during the PPKM period," he said.
