Working At A Coconut Factory, 3 Pakistani-Indian Citizens Arrested By Tembilahan Riau Immigration

PEKANBARU - Immigration Office Class II TPI Tembilahan, Riau, arrested three foreign nationals (foreigners) who violated immigration rules by violating or abusing their residence permits.

"Initially from a report by a member of Bhabinkamtibmas (Bhayangkara Supervisory for Public Security and Order) regarding the presence of a suspicious foreigner at the coconut processing factory in Tembilahan City (14/3)," said the Head of Immigration Office Class II TPI Tembilahan Nanang Mustofa reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 20.

After receiving the report, the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Section (Inteldakim) of Kanim Tembilahan immediately conducted a field inspection.

The three foreigners with the identity MHD (36) are Indian nationals, MD (35) are Pakistani nationals, and WA (52) are Pakistani nationals.

Head of Riau Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Mhd. Jahari Sitepu, said the results of the field inspection found that the three foreign nationals had sufficient evidence of abuse of immigration stay permits.

"Two foreign nationals have residence permits for visit permits and investor KITAS, but they are used to working in a coconut processing factory," he said.

Another foreigner, said Jahari, was unable to show immigration documents when the officers carried out surveillance.

"The three foreign nationals were proven to have violated Article 122 letter a, article 71 letter b in conjunction with article 116 Law No. 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration," said Jahari.

The three foreigners will temporarily occupy the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center and be subject to Immigration Administrative Actions in the form of deportation and detention.
