Awayday To Sleman, Persis Solo Supporters Escorted By Police

JAKARTA - Persis Solo will host Arema Malang today. Laskar Sambernyawa is still using the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, as their home ground, in the second round of League 1 2022/2023.

To support his team competing, thousands of Persis away day fans from Solo to Sleman with tight police escort.

They drive motorbikes and private cars. The Persis Solo supporters received tight guard from the police in a relay, starting from the Surakarta Police, Sukoharjo Police, Klaten Police, and Sleman Police.

On his away day, Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Pol. Iwan Saktiadi appealed to Persis Solo fans to drive in an orderly and conducive manner in supporting their idol team.

"That Persis Solo supporter wants to be a follower who can be emulated by others. This means that it can be transmitted to other areas, which is packaged properly," said Iwan, confiscated from Antara.

He also asked Persis Solo supporters not to get involved in clashes between supporters.

"So, there should be no more incidents of clashes between fans because the football sports industry should be fun to watch and support. If a team wins (or) loses, (that) is a rear matter. It's called a match, there are bound to be winners and losers, but the supportive priority," he explained.

Around 2,000 Persis Solo supporters departed from Manahan, Surakarta, to Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Police escorted the journey of the supporters from Surakarta, and then coordinated with the Sukoharjo Police, Klaten Police, and Sleman Police who were welcomed at the Prambanan border to Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman.

Iwan hopes that Persis Solo supporters can maintain order and support the team in good ways.

"One of the important things is that Solo is hosting the U-20 World Cup and the fans can show they are also world-class," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General of DPP Pasoepati Isnaini Muhammad Fatah Romadlon explained that based on the results of the temporary coordination, four Persis Solo support elements would depart together from Plaza Manahan Surakarta.

"This is the first time Persis Solo fans have been able to support them by watching their favorite team compete in the second round of League 1 this year," said Isnaini.
