PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) is ready to distribute government food assistance to support the acceleration of stunting reduction in Indonesia, which is in line with the government's stunting prevalence rate below 14 percent by 2024.

Director of Courier & Logistics Business Pos Indonesia Siti Choiriana in a written statement, said Pos Indonesia is committed to accelerating the logistics industry in eastern Indonesia, as a concrete step to encourage economic equality to the outermost, frontier, and underdeveloped (3T) areas.

"The supporting system is to reach all regions of Indonesia to the 3T region as our effort to encourage economic growth in all regions of Indonesia," explained Ana, her nickname, as reported by Antara, Sunday, March 12.

One of the factors causing stunting is food insecurity in the community. This is because there is still a poverty rate in Indonesia of 9.57 percent or 26.36 million people (BPS, 2022).

Providing assistance will help the poor who find it difficult to reach food due to economic limitations. Nationally, the government targets a decrease in food-prone vulnerable areas from 14 percent (in 2022) to 13 percent (in 2023) and 12 percent (in 2024).

Pos Indonesia's commitment to supporting the government to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates in Indonesia was carried out at the Logistic Day event in Bali some time ago.

Ana emphasized that Pos Indonesia is committed to encouraging logistical interconnection throughout Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke, including eastern Indonesia.

To reach all regions, Pos Indonesia divides the working area into six regions or regions.

The regional distribution covers all provinces in Indonesia, with the carrying capacity of 42 main branch offices, 168 branch offices, and 4,308 auxiliary branch offices.

In addition, to strengthen the logistics industry in the country, Pos Indonesia supports and develops interconnections with courier and logistics companies both domestically and internationally.

This collaboration is one of the strategies for winning world logistics services for more competitive prices.

"Indonesia's post as the organizer of the courier-logistics business, also collaborates with state-owned logistics clusters or with private companies for service products, both in the first mile, middle and last mile using digital platforms. This is in order to accelerate the process of distributing logistics to business actors in Indonesia as an effort to support national economic stability," he said.

Pos Indonesia has experience in carrying out courier and logistics activities for hundreds of years starting from retail shipments, corporate shipments, implementing government projects, including distribution of election shipments, distribution of rice social assistance, set top box (STB), distribution of BLT, KPU logistics for elections, assistance for wage subsidies and other government assignments.

Pos has warehouses at 151 points spread throughout Indonesia. This warehouse can be used for management fulfillment of products for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"We also gave an end-to-end logistics solution. Not long ago, we succeeded in encouraging dozens of MSME products to spread exports to countries in the Middle East," he said.

This cannot be separated from Pos Indonesia's position as part of theUPU world organization (United Postal Union) with services or services sent by Pos Internasional to 228 countries so that it is able to collaborate with all parties to distribute all international shipments.
