Cost Of Building Facilities At Pura Agung Besakih Reaches IDR 911 Billion

KARANGASEM - The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, said that the total cost of building facilities in the Pura Agung Besakih area reached around IDR 911 billion.

At the funeral ceremony at Pura Agung Besakih, Governor Koster said the construction of facilities within Pura Agung Besakih, Karangasem, was carried out using the allocation of funds in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) and the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"To build this facility entirely until it is completed in 2023 (the cost) is IDR 911 billion, sourced from the Ministry of PUPR's state budget of around IDR 427 billion and the Universal Planning APBD of around IDR 483 billion, part of which is for land acquisition, more than IDR 170 billion," said Koster, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 6.

The construction of facilities at Pura Agung Besakih which began in 2020 includes the restoration and development of holy places as well as the construction of the Kedungdung parking lot specifically for buses, the Manik Mas area parking building specifically for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, facilities for MSMEs, buildings for Villages and Besakih Traditional Villages, as well as other supporting facilities.

After the prayer which was attended by local government officials, Wayan Koster explained the implementation of the restoration of the Titi Gonggang Temple, Manik Mas Temple, Melanting Manik Mas Temple, Pelinggih Tulak Tanggul, and the Padma Bhuwana Statue in Bencingah.

He also conveyed that the new parking facility can accommodate up to 250 buses and is equipped with electric vehicle stops, public electric vehicle charging stations, and toilets.

In addition, there are parking facilities Kreta Graha Kulon for four-wheeled vehicles and Rangga Graha Wetan for two-wheeled vehicles in a four-story building.

"Special parking for four-wheeled vehicles with a total capacity of 1,541 units, the roof of the parking building uses PLTS with a capacity of 400 Kwh. Special parking for two-wheeled vehicles has a total capacity of 1,268 units, stairs, and elevators are available to connect each floor," he explained.

The arrangement of the Besakih Pura Agung complex, according to him, also includes the construction of facilities with 272 kiosks and 198 stalls in the Bencingah and Manik Mas areas for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

A total of 198 toilet cubicles, including special toilet cubicles for persons with disabilities, were also built in the temple area. Visitors to the temple can use these facilities for free.

In addition, for visitors to Pura Agung Besakih who wish to pray, supporting facilities are provided, such as a wantilan or hall for resting, a building with a capacity of 215 people, a park, and a vehicle for creativity for young people.

The Governor of Bali has formed a management body for the sacred area Besakih Temple to ensure that the service and maintenance of the temple runs well.
