Elderly Victims Of Explosion Clusters Experience 50 Percent Burns, Husband Calls Explosions Like Bombs, Wife To Jump

JAKARTA - An elderly woman who was killed by a knife exploded in Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, still lying in Duren Sawit Hospital undergoing medical treatment. It is known that at the time of the explosion, the victim suffered burns of up to 50 percent.

Kusdoyo (57), the victim's husband, said that the incident occurred when he had just woken up. Kusdoyo said the sound of the explosion sounded very loud.

"When I woke up, suddenly the septic tanks exploded. The wife jumped for help and finally all of the residents came out to provide help. The explosion was here (while pointing at the toilet), the floor was cracked and the ceiling broke," said Kusdoyo.

The victim had left the house to ask residents for help. So that the victim was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.

"The burns on the hands and feet were about more than 50 percent burnt. The sound of the explosion was like a bomb, the septictank exploded," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an elderly woman with the initials E (57) became a victim of an explosion of squatting toilets and emitting a fire in the bathroom of her house in Sumur Village, RT 10/10, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Friday, March 3.

As a result of the explosion, the victim suffered a number of burns to his body.

"The cause is suspected because the exhaust line was not good, so an explosion emerged," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Friday, March 3.
