JABAR - A driver was crushed to death by the body of a truck that was wrecked up to the driver's cabin in a deadly collision involving three trucks on Sukabumi-Cianjur Street. Police said they would investigate the cause of the accident.

Head of Traffic Unit of Cianjur Police Iptu Hadi Kurniawan said the accident allegedly started from a tronton truck with number N 9876 DL driven by Andik Wibowo experienced brake failure making it difficult to control when crossing the Gekbrong route, Cianjur.

"The truck driven by Andik lost control when it entered the road that descended sharply on Sukabumi-Cianjur street, to be precise in Bangbayang Village, Gekbrong District, so that before hitting the house, the truck had collided with two ankle trucks traveling from Cianjur to Sukabumi," said Iptu Hadi told journalists, Tuesday 28 February, as reported by Antara.

As a result of the accident Andik, the truck driver died on the spot and two other truck drivers suffered serious injuries and were taken directly to the Sayang Cianjur Hospital.

While the owner of the house survived because he left the house first after hearing the impact.

"To ascertain the cause of the accident, officers are still conducting an investigation and conducting crime scene investigations and asking eyewitnesses for information," he said.
