Syahravi's clarification regarding the allegation of violating ethics while performing Fariz RM's song again

JAKARTA - Young musician Syahravi finally spoke up regarding the allegations that he violated ethics and did not ask for permission when performing Fariz RM's song "Di Antara Kata".

Accompanied by his lawyer, Elza Syarief, Syahravi emphasized that his involvement in the project was completely legal and had a clear legal umbrella.

The statement was made at a press conference held in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Monday (29 June 2026).

Syahravi explained that he received an offer from a producer with the initials SN in 2024 to be involved in a tribute album titled "45 Years of Fariz RM Berkarya".

"Everything I do in this project, we have a contract for it. And everything I do, including when I perform the song, is in my contract with Mr. SN," said Syahravi in a press conference in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, June 29.

The singer who has been in the business for 11 years stated that his relationship with Fariz RM initially went very well. In fact, before the song was officially released, Fariz RM had a positive response and praised the arrangement he had worked on.

However, the situation changed after internal problems arose between Fariz RM and the producer, SN. This is the problem that is suspected of triggering the allegations of copyright and ethics violations addressed to Syahravi, leading to a police report by the Fariz RM party.

Meanwhile, Elza Syarief as a lawyer confirmed that the report against Syahravi was the wrong target. According to him, the legal relationship that occurred was between Syahravi and SN, and SN with Fariz RM.

When the summons was first sent by Fariz RM's party, Elza also admitted that he had invited the singer of "Sakura" to sit down together to resolve the problem, but did not get a response.

"We don't know anything, we just use it, and indeed launching these songs is also not very commercial," said Elza Syarief to straighten out the matter.

Syahravi also hopes that this clarification can restore his good name in the eyes of the public and the Indonesian music industry, considering that the accusation had disturbed the positive image that he had built for more than a decade of music.
