Sungai Pinang Police Chief AKP Noor Dhianto said the incident took place at one of the Islamic Boarding Schools (Ponpes) in Samarinda. "The victim was allegedly killed because his senior was beaten, at the beginning of the incident the perpetrator's money was lost and accused the victim of being a thief, so that the incident the victim was mistreated. The perpetrator is now being held at the Sungai Pinang Police,” he said in Samarinda, Antara, Thursday, February 23. The victim was allegedly hit on the left and right cheeks using his hands and feet. The victim then wanted to be referred to AW Sjahranie Hospital before finally being declared dead. "For this incident, the Ponpes complained to Bhabinkamtibmas until they finally arrived at the Sungai Pinang Police, so after the information on the incident was received by the Sector Police, the team immediately came to the location to process the crime scene," said Noor Dhianto. The police chief said that together with Bhabinkamtibmas and the board of Ponpes, the perpetrators were then taken to the Sungai Pinang Police for examination. "We have detained 20-year-old adult perpetrators to undergo legal proceedings, and in this case we apply the Child Protection Act because of minors," concluded Noor Dhianto. Meanwhile, when confirmed, the Boarding School caregiver did not want to comment long. The Islamic Boarding School is currently focusing on preparing for the graduation of female students and female students.
