The victims who died were two passengers in the Daihatsu Xenia car who suffered severe damage on the left side.

At the same time, the Argo Bromo Anggrek train was moving from east to west so an accident was inevitable.

The identity of the victim who died in the incident is Alif Muchtarudin (56), a resident of Salatiga City, while the identity of one other victim is unknown.

Meanwhile, Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Ixfan Hendri Wintoko said the accident also resulted in damage to the Argo Bromo Anggrek train locomotive.

"The locomotive suffered a fuel tank rupture", he said.

As a result of the accident, he continued, the Argo Bromo Anggrek trip was delayed by around 75 minutes.

He added that a replacement locomotive was needed to tow the trains involved in the accident.
