Zero Postponed Cases, DPR Appreciates The Performance Of The Ministry Of Law And Human Rights In North Maluku

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia appreciates the performance of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KemenkumHAM) of North Maluku. This can be seen from the absence of pending cases until a good prison capacity. Member of Commission III of the DPR RI Muhammad Syafi'i said, almost all the fields of duty that are the main tasks and functions of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of North Maluku are relatively running well and no significant constraints. This came to light when the Kunker's Team of Reses Commission III DPR RI had a working meeting with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Malut in Ternate, Monday (20/2/2023). "Today we are happy that the performance of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is running as it should, even in the presentation we saw the fact that they have received awards both from the secretary-generalism internally and from the external assessment team," explained Romo, Muhammad Syafi'i's nickname. The Gerindra Party Faction politician added, there is something even more encouraging, namely, the Correctional Institution in this North Maluku region is not overcapacity. Of the total capacity of 1500 people, only 1100 people are occupied, so there is still a difference of about 400 people. This condition is very good, because usually in a number of prisons in Indonesia it was actually an overcapacity. "Previously, we heard the explanation, in this North Malukut court all cases that entered were relatively decided, so the rest was almost zero percent. This proves the apparatus who worked well, and its citizens are also good citizens who have morality, it is natural to then get the title of the most happy society throughout Indonesia," explained Romo.

The North Sumatra I electoral district legislator also appreciated the role of the court which had decided all cases to zero percent. This means that no case was delayed in a significant calculation, but then the available prison capacity was still available for the needs of around 400 people. "This also proves that the level of the case can still be resolved with the capacity available and most importantly of course, that is the characteristics of the most happy society throughout Indonesia, so there are not many cases." he said.
