A Total Of 1,885 Tourists Visit The Thousand Islands On Labor Day Holidays

JAKARTA - A total of 1,885 tourists vacationed to the Thousand Islands Regency, DKI Jakarta Province, on International Labor Day on May 1, 2025.

"Today there are 1,885 domestic and foreign tourists visiting the Thousand Islands from various piers," said Head of the Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-dept., Sonti Pangaribu in Jakarta, Thursday.

He said 1,885 tourists came to the Thousand Islands area from several entrances, namely Marina Ancol Pier totaling 413 people and Muara Angke as many as 641 people.

Then the Tanjung Pasir Pier totaled 738 people and the Cituis Pier as many as 93 people.

He assessed that tourist visits on International Labor Day (May Day) could improve the economy of the community and business actors in the Thousand Islands.

Tourist visits to the Thousand Islands region certainly also have a positive impact on the economy of the community and business actors. "Everything must be balanced by maintaining environmental cleanliness," he said.

He explained, to get to the Thousand Islands, tourists can access Kali Adem Pier and Marina Ancol at different rates.

Through Kali Adem Pier, visitors can use wooden ships at a rate of around Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 80 thousand and use ships belonging to the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) at a rate of around Rp. 44 thousand to Rp. 74 thousand.

Meanwhile, through Marina Ancol Pier, the fare is around Rp. 175 thousand to Rp. 300 thousand per person per trip.

"Tourist visits are predicted to continue arriving until the weekend," he said.
