BKMT Holds The 42nd Anniversary Of Tasyakur, Syifa Fauzia: We Become The Most Independent Taklim Council

JAKARTA - The Taklim Council Contact Agency (BKMT) held its 42nd anniversary meeting today, Tuesday, February 21 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

BKMT was founded by Prof. Dr. Tutty Alawiyah on January 1, 1981. Since its establishment, BKMT wants to become an independent taklim assembly that will improve the quality of the taklim assembly throughout Indonesia.

BKMT was born with an agreement of more than 700 taklim assemblies. It was initiated by a cleric and a preacher Prof. Dr. Tutty Alawiyah who has been in the taklim assembly since a very young age.

Met during the 42nd BKMT anniversary, BKMT Chairman Syifa Fauzia said, at the beginning of its establishment, BKMT aimed at improving the quality of learning in the taklim assembly by forming a joint forum as a forum for communication between the taklim assembly, which was then in Jakarta and its surroundings.

Over time, the BKMT began to be actively participated by taklim assemblies outside Jakarta. Tutty Alawiyah, who at that time had become a well-known ustazah, became increasingly known in the community.

Tutty also wants the taklim assembly to be more dignified, not only as a place to learn Islam, but also to make contributions and roles for the people and society.

"BKMT also proves that it is the pioneer of the largest taklim assembly organization that is independent without affiliation from any party," said Syifa.

Until 1991, during the BKMT decade, Ustazah Tutty held a colossal event at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium and presented Mrs. Tien Suharto. Then it continued for five times the grand event at this main stadium and witnessed by the leaders of the country.

"This big event is a benchmark for organizing big BKMT events. No less than 100 thousand congregations of the taklim assembly gather and become a syiar of enthusiasm for BKMT throughout Indonesia," explained Syifa.

BKMT's work is also increasingly widespread, marked by the increasing number of BKMTs in every province throughout Indonesia. Now at the age of 42, BKMT has been in 33 provinces, more than 400 districts, and thousands of sub-districts, with an estimated member of almost one million people.

"As many as 95 percent are women and come from various professions. BKMT is organizationally independent and is not affiliated with any political organization or party," he said.

Syifa said, through its various activities and programs, BKMT expanded its role not only in the fields of da'wah, education, and social affairs. BKMT is active in economic empowerment, strengthening the nation's insights, playing an active role in national leadership and responding to strategic and general issues.

"Until now, BKMT continues to make a real contribution to improving the quality of society. Moving is at the forefront of the struggle and empowerment of the people," said Syifa.

By continuing to uphold the philosophical values of its founder Prof. Tutty Alawiyah, is to become a cadre who believes in Javanese, is highly dedicated, has a fighting spirit for benefit, and preserves togetherness in his role in all aspects of life.

Also attending this event were Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017-2022 period Anies Baswedan, Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Chairman of Baznas KH Noor Achmad, President Director of BSI Hery Gunadi, wife of West Java Governor Atalia Praratya Ridwan Kamil, Muslim scholar Din Syamsuddin, and former TNI commander Gatot Nurmantyo.
