Breaking The 11-Year Record, The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Absorbs 93.5 Percent Of Budget In 2020

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) said that it has succeeded in absorbing a budget of IDR 5.8 trillion or 93.5 percent of the total 2020 ceiling of IDR 6.2 trillion.

ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif said that this achievement was an achievement in itself considering that this performance was the best in the last 11 years.

"The ESDM Ministry's financial report has also been awarded the WTP (Unqualified) predicate from the Supreme Audit Agency, and this is the fourth time in a row," he said in a virtual press conference, Thursday, January 7, 2020.

In terms of performance, investment in the 2020 ESDM sector still recorded a significant value of US $ 24.4 billion. The oil and gas subsector still gave the largest contribution to investment, namely 12.1 billion US dollars.

This was followed by the electricity sub-sector amounting to US $ 7 billion, mineral and coal US $ 3.9 billion and New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) US $ 1.4 billion.

"The investment in the ESDM sector throughout 2021 is targeted to be able to generate a value of 36.4 billion US dollars," he said.

Even though in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, continued Arifin, the 2020 ESDM sector non-tax state revenue (PNBP) recorded a realization of 120 percent of the target. For information, in the 2020 APBN-P, PNBP of the ESDM sector is targeted at IDR 90.7 trillion, while the realization is IDR 108.7 trillion.

In detail, the PNBP realization consists of Oil and Gas amounting to IDR 69.7 trillion (131 percent), Mineral and Coal IDR 34.6 trillion (110 percent), EBTKE IDR 2 trillion (154 percent) and other revenues of IDR 2.4 trillion (51 percent).

"The other revenues consist of contributions from downstream oil and gas companies, DMO Migas, data sales, rental services, BLU receipts, and others," he added.

Not only that, Minister Arifin explained that his party was able to win various awards during the last year, such as ranking one for budget execution performance for ceiling ministries / agencies, corruption-free areas, the best achievements of the KPK, and winning a trophy at the ASEAN Energy Award.
