The National Police Chief Has Reactivated The Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force!

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo reactivated the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force to eradicate match fixing or match fixing in Indonesian football.

This statement was made by Sigit with the affirmation that he was ready to synergize with PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir.

"We, the National Police are ready to fully support and have prepared the Football Mafia Task Forces to oversee the policy," said Sigit at the Gelora Bung Karno Media Center (GBK), Jakarta, Sunday, February 19.

With the eradication of the football mafia, it is hoped that the match will be fair for all parties. This has an impact on improving the quality of the players in Indonesia.

"And of course the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force will continue to oversee every event in League 1, 2, and 3 as well as all football events to be organized by PSSI," he said. With the same spirit and synergy from PSSI and Polri, Sigit is optimistic that, in the future, the goal of realizing Indonesian football according to FIFA standards will be carried out well.

"In addition to supporting the score game eradication program, we also support the implementation of Indonesian football to be better and more in accordance with FIFA standards," said Sigit.

The Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force was originally formed in 2018. Then, it ended in 2020. A number of cases of alleged score status have been revealed.

At that time, 18 people were named as suspects who were processed by both the organization, the management of match equipment including players and intermediaries. Even today, said Sigit, there are 15 sub-Satgas Anti-Mafia Balls formed and spread throughout the region.

"I think according to what is the new PSSI Ketum policy to involve the Task Force, we will continue to strengthen it," he said. On the other hand, Sigit revealed, in realizing a much better Indonesian football, the National Police has invited researchers from the UK Conventional University, to provide competition management training.

Then, issue Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 10 of 2022 concerning Security of the Implementation of Sports Competitions.

So, it is hoped that these steps will be able to carry out football security activities properly according to FIFA standards.

"In principle, the National Police is ready to support and cure the perpetrators of the football mafia," said Sigit.
