"Of the 10 Raperda, five of them are the proposed Raperda for the provincial DPRD initiative and five others are from the provincial government," said Maluku DPRD chairman Benhur Watubun in Ambon, Friday, February 17, as reported by Antara.

The DPRD's Raperda initiative includes the Raperda on the provision of incentives and/or the provision of facilities for investment in the regions, the Raperda on regional goods, the Raperda on the management of customary forests, the Raperda on the master plan and the roadmap for the construction of the creative economy in the Maluku Province, and the Raperda on the administration of archives.

Considering the role of such regional regulations is important in the implementation of regional autonomy, the preparation is programmed so that various legal instruments needed in the context of organizing regional autonomy can be formed systematically, directed, and planned based on a priority scale.

He said the program to form regional regulations does not only produce statutory products that support the implementation of government tasks and regional development, but is expected to meet the demands of community needs according to current and future developments.

Maluku Deputy Governor Barnabas Orno said the stipulation of the 2003 10-Raperda formation program was entirely a development of people's aspirations.

"All of these efforts are solely based on a mandate for the benefit of the community for the realization of Maluku which is managed honestly clean and serves guaranteed in welfare," said the Deputy Governor.
