Tarakan Kodim Confiscates Hundreds Of Alcohol Bottles Without Documents

TARAKAN - Kodim Intelligence Unit 0907/Tarakan, North Kalimantan confiscated hundreds of bottles of liquor in dozens of boxes without official documents (illegal) in Tarakan.

"The arrest of illegal alcohol was based on reports from the public who felt uneasy about the sale and purchase of liquor by unscrupulous residents in the Lingkas Ujung Village area with the initials MM," said 0907/Tarakan Kodim Commander, Lt. Col. Reza Fajar Lesmana reported by ANTARA, Thursday, February 16.

He said that information from the public who acknowledged that there had been activities that disturbed Tarakan residents was also checked at the location where they were suspected of selling alcohol on Jalan Kusuma Bangsa, Lingkas Ujung Village, East Tarakan.

"There were 70 boxes of alcoholic liquor of various types, which were not accompanied by documents or letters. We have reported this to our leadership, as well as coordinating with the Tarakan Police and Tarakan Customs," said Reza.

All alcohol confiscated from three places belonging to the MM perpetrators, including MM who was also confiscated. The modus operandi used by the perpetrators was to sell alcohol and groceries.

"This is an average of drinks with an alcohol content above 20 percent. First, we went to the shop. We investigated again and directed to Kampung Enam. There were more drinks stored there," said the Dandim.

The case has been handed over to the Tarakan Police and Tarakan Customs. Including submitting evidence and perpetrators. So that later, there will be no more administrative problems.

The Dandim also stressed that in essence, this was the task of the regional TNI AD command. Even in Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI, namely carrying out military operations of war (OMP) and military operations other than war (OMSP). Where OMSP supports the tasks of the regional government and also supports the duties of the police.

"We know that there are lots of illegal goods in Tarakan. That's why we need good synergy. So that they support each other," he said.
