JEMBER - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Jember Regency, East Java, is targeting the number of voters' participation in the 2024 Election to reach 80 percent so that socialization activities are carried out intensively targeting various groups. The socialization activity was carried out by members and staff of the Jember KPU by distributing the stickers that read "Ayo Sukses Elections" on February 14, 2024 to road users who passed in front of the local KPU Office, Tuesday. "We provide socialization to the public that the democratic party will be held on February 14, 2024 so that today is exactly one year of voting implementation in the 2024 Election," said member of the Jember Division of the Socialization, Voters Education, and Community Participation Andi Wasis quoted by ANTARA. According to him, the reason for choosing chocolate distributed to residents in front of the Jember KPU office is a campus area and many millennial voters are passing by. "Today also coincides with Valentine's Day which is identical to brown, so we hope that millennials will remember that simultaneous elections will be held on February 14, 2024," he said. Andi said voter participation in the 2019 Election in Jember Regency was 76.05 percent of the number of 1.8 million voters and it is hoped that this figure could increase in the 2024 General Election. "We hope that voter participation in 2024 can increase compared to the 2019 Election. We target voters' participation to reach more than 80 percent," he said. Andi hopes that all parties from various groups will also succeed in organizing the five-year-old election-election Potential Population Data (DP4) and a final voter list (DPT) of voters in Jember Regency, the number of voters in the 2024 Election was recorded at 2,02.001 people.
