The demonstration of students from the Faculty of Sport (FKOR) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Solo is suspected to be the aftermath of a summons from the UNS Board of Trustees (MWA) which was shown to the Dean of FKOR Sapta Kunta Purnama.

The summons began with comments on the UNS lecturer WhatsApp group regarding the selection of the UNS Chancellor that had been held.

Responding to this, MWA considered it legitimate demonstrations as part of student democratic learning. However, MWA wonders why the subpoena sent to the Dean of FKOR has spread everywhere.

"The demonstration is good because it is the right of anyone and is guaranteed by law. However, what makes me not understand is that this demonstration does not deal with student affairs and does not deal with universities," said MWA attorney Muhammad Taufiq in Solo, Friday, February 3, quoted from Antara.

"This is very personal and what is happening now is even widening everywhere, how students can be organized [organized, ed.] like this," he continued.

In the summons, MWA asked the Dean of FKOR to apologize for what was conveyed in the WA group. Sapta is considered to defame MWA regarding the UNS Chancellor election.

"The summons was given because the person concerned commented on the group on purpose like 'it needs to be investigated for things that worsen UNS'. Therefore, we ask that the person concerned apologize for what was conveyed in the group," said Taufiq.

Previously, hundreds of UNS FKOR students held a demonstration regarding the summons to the FKOR Dean. One representative of the Rohadi demonstrators student Setyo Wibowo said the demonstration demanded that there be an explanation regarding the summons.

"The summons made by MWA UNS to our dean, the problem is not clear. What makes our dean summoned?" he said.

According to him, Sapta had received the summons twice. He said there was nothing wrong with Sapta's attitude.

"We were disturbed, disturbed, we should have focused on preparing the championship. However, due to the summons, we were disturbed. We didn't make a mistake, really, we were told to apologize," he said.

Therefore, the students participating in the demonstration requested that the summons be revoked and the MWA conveyed what was wrong with Sapta.

"Where is it wrong? The deputy chairman must also clarify and apologize in the media because it is the MWA who defames," he said.
